Biogeography of Muscidae (Diptera) in South America
The main focus of this research work is to understand the Muscidae distribution patterns and to understand the related historical process as well as to contribute to the reconstruction of the Latin American and Caribbean biogeography history. The first step is building a Muscidae databank (MS Access) from the literature and DZUP* available data and creating maps of distribution (ArcGIS); and the second step is executing the historical methods of biogeography: Parsimony Analysis of Endemicity and Panbiogeography
