Biodiversity and Biogeography Laboratory: Diptera

Diptera Lab of Universidade Federal do Paraná (to date Biodiversity and Biogeography Lab) was created in 1983 when Claudio José Barros de Carvalho entered in the Department of Zoology, Institute of Biological Science. Carvalho and his students have authored 140+ refereed publications and presented over 100+ papers at National and International Congresses. Most of refereed publications are on taxonomy or systematics of flies, but many of them are on biogeography, forensic entomology, fly ecology and fly synanthropy. Several graduate and undergraduate students develop projects in the Lab.
