Taxonomic
survey and alpha and beta diversity of Muscidae (Diptera) from four biotopes of
Paraná State collected with Malaise trap.
The family Muscidae
presents a reasonable taxonomic knowledge in the world, however, the taxonomy
and the patterns of distribution of the species from the Neotropical Region are
still in incipient levels (Carvalho
2002). This study pretends to know the
biodiversity and population dynamics of Muscidae captured with Malaise traps,
from four localities of the Paraná state (Brazil), namely, Antonina, Telêmaco
Borba, Jundiaí do Sul and Fênix.
The species of Muscidae
collected within the period of one year (1987-1988) from regular captures in
such localities will be identified, and this information associated with
biodiversity index and environmental variables will be used to analyse the alpha
biodiversity. The alpha biodiversity, analysed with multivariate ordination
methods, will be used to know the beta biodiversity.
