Welcome to our site. We are just now trying to put it back online after a hacker destroyed all the university´s homepages. Soon, we will have everything back online and more!
In the mean time, click on the fish above and visit the site of our research group, GIA.
What´s in that name?
It sure may sound ackward, but the name of the lab reflects pretty much what we do in it. While it was originally associated solely with taxonomy and phylogeny of Platyhelminthes Monogenoidea, the involvement of our personnel with molecular systematics has resulted in the broadening of our studies. If you check the projects you will have a good idea of what we have been doing. Although still interested in Monogenoidea taxonomy and sistematics, we have been involved in many aspects of Conservation Genetics and other diseases of aquatics organisms. I hope you enjoy the site!
